The solution for larger PV systems: to enable measurement of higher currents without having to disconnect the power line when connecting, the Fronius Smart Meter CT current transformer can be conveniently connected. This is made possible by split-core technology, in which the current transformer is placed around the line to be measured without having to disconnect the cable for installation. The current transformer ensures that the measured current is converted into a signal that can be measured by the Fronius Smart Meter. The smart meter then uses the conversion ratio to convert the signal to the original primary current. The result is reliable measurement of key data for optimization, even for larger PV systems.
