Lightmate Balcony

The PLUG-IN photovoltaic system for plugging into the socket is perfect for any solar pioneer. The LightMate Balcony is the slim and compact version of your own balcony power plant and consists of a large standard panel with integrated inverter.

The system is installed directly at the socket, i.e. simply plugged in. Therefore, no electrician or installer is required for commissioning. You can install and commission your own PLUG-IN photovoltaic system yourself in no time at all.

Your LightMate is suitable for both large and small balconies. Simply hang the hooks into the aluminum frame of your panel and your solar system becomes a functional balcony privacy screen. LightMate Balcony therefore offers you the perfect solution for producing your own solar power – whether you have a lot or little space, live in your own home or in a rented apartment, it doesn’t matter.

The 430 W package includes the following:

One photovoltaic panel (1722 x 1134 x 30 mm) with 430 Wpeak (Maysun)
An inverter for connection to your socket (Envertech EVT400), connected load 400 watts
Schuko cable with a length of 5 m (for direct connection to your socket)
Two balcony hooks for mounting on the balcony railing for round and square handrails (with a diameter of 5 cm or 13 cm)

You also have the option of doubling the output of your PLUG-IN photovoltaic system, in which case two LightMates are combined and the outputs are added together.

The 860 W package includes the following:

Two photovoltaic panels (1722 x 1134 x 30 mm) with 430 Wpeak (Maysun)
Two inverters for connection to your socket (Envertech EVT800), connected load 800 watts
Schuko cable with a length of 5 m (for direct connection to your socket)
Four balcony hooks for mounting on the balcony railing for round and square handrails (with a diameter of 5 cm or 13 cm)
A connection cable for the two inverters (standard) or a second power cable (optional)

However, if you want to connect each panel to its own power socket, simply write in the order under “Order notes” that you need two power cables for two power sockets.

You can also choose the diameter of the hooks that best suit the railing of your balcony.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to register my mini PV system with the grid operator?
The registration process can vary from grid operator to grid operator. In principle, the systems are not subject to approval and a simple registration form must be accepted by each grid operator.

Can I operate several LightMates in one household?
From a legal point of view, you are allowed to feed in 800 watts per metering point in Austria. A LightMate feeds in a maximum of 300 watts. It is therefore possible to connect and operate two LightMates at the same time.

Does the MySolMate app also work for LightMates?
Unfortunately not. As the name suggests, the MySolMate app only works with the SolMate.

Can I see how much power my LightMate is currently feeding in?
With the LightMates, the most important information about the feed-in can be read from the green LED on the inverter. You can find out what the flashing LED means in the EET downloads.
Alternatively, you can get an energy meter and simply read off the current flow.

How does my consumer know whether to draw energy from LightMate or from the public grid?
Of course, your consumer doesn’t know – every consumer takes what they can get.
The electricity generated by LightMate is fed into the household grid via the socket by applying a small voltage boost from the inverter. The voltage is therefore always slightly higher than that of your domestic grid, so the current is pushed into your domestic grid (absolutely harmless). This is always used by your consumers first, before the public grid is “tapped”. Only when the power generated by LightMate is no longer sufficient to supply all consumers is the difference in power covered by the public grid. This difference is then recorded as electricity consumption in your household by your electricity meter, and you have saved the rest in costs.
