PLENTICORE BI from KOSTAL – you can easily create your own storage solution
The PLENTICORE BI is the perfect companion for connecting a storage tank in a new building or retrofitting an existing photovoltaic system.

More and more owners of photovoltaic systems are thinking about retrofitting their system with storage.

It’s very easy with the PLENTICORE BI battery inverter. In combination with a high-voltage battery and the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter, this inverter is simply connected to the AC grid in parallel to the existing system. Exchanging or replacing existing components is not necessary.

Even with new systems – especially with a larger PV generator or special system configurations – the PLENTICORE BI offers a simple option for connecting a storage system.

No changes need to be made to the existing system. All that is required is the PLENTICORE BI, the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter and a compatible high-voltage battery, such as the BYD Battery-Box. Thanks to its compact design, the device is space-saving and fits into almost any room.

A storage tank retrofit can be carried out completely independently of the weather. Ideally, it takes place in winter or spring, then you are perfectly prepared for the summer season.

The PLENTICORE BI can do even more: In addition to storing the energy generated from photovoltaic systems, the battery inverter can also store energy from other AC energy sources, e.g. from a CHP or a wind turbine.

This means that any excess energy that appears in the house can initially flow into the battery in order to use the existing energy efficiently at a later point in time.
